God Save The Screen – Protest Tee (UK Online Safety Act Edition) | Unisex Jersey Short Sleeve T-Shirt, Thought-Provoking Apparel

On October 26, 2023, the UK enacted the Online Safety Act, a sweeping piece of legislation that gives Ofcom and government bodies the power to force platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to remove content deemed harmful — even if that content isn’t illegal, and even if the platform itself has no issue with it.

In its first weeks of enforcement, informational videos — not hate, not harassment, not misinformation — have been taken down or hidden from UK viewers under vague interpretations of safety.

This tee is our response.

The design features a glitched portrait of King Charles III, his mouth blacked out, his eyes censored by the now-familiar phrase:

“CONTENT VIOLATES LOCAL LAW.”

Each corner spells out the message loud and clear:

GOD SAVE THE SCREEN.

Behind him, the Union Jack fractures into a static-warped pattern — not burning, but digitally erased. The Wake Orange flare slices through the horizon like a silenced sunrise. The empire doesn’t end with gunpowder. It ends with shadowbans.

This shirt was shot on-location in Camden Town Station, where freedom of expression is now algorithmically negotiated.
